Bonehead

Bonehead is a metroidvania-esque platformer, explore, collect bones, build yourself and bridges to reach the end!

Created in 48 hours for the 2021 GMTK game jam with the theme of “Joined Together” and we immediately took to a protagonist that had to join them self together. Then we realized, why stop there? Why not have the character also be the solution! Hopefully the theme comes across as you play our little game. Currently only one level exists but we are working on more for future release!

Made by a team of creators brand new to game jams, but all who enthusiastically jumped right to. 

How to play

Collect bones as you bring yourself together to gain new abilities. 

Explore the level and create bridges to cross large gaps

A & D - Move left and right

W & S - Move up and down

P - Jump

Hold O - Create a bridge when prompted. 

R - Restart the current level

Initially we wanted to create a game with dynamic music, sounds, lightning, and colors. But ultimately the concept didn’t come together. (Ironic considering the theme.)
